He said the House of
Assembly was forced to promulgate the anti-stigmatization law to protect
his over 24,000 members and prevent them from spreading/infecting
innocent lives with the Virus.
"Our members are
suffering in Northern Yobe: Machina, Yunusari, Yusufari, Gaidam and
Karasuwa. Though awareness has improved in other parts of the state.
Recently, a women was maltreated in Machina, we followed her case and
relocated her to Damaturu.
"We want the law
enforcement agency to set an example against this attitudes so that
people can be afraid of maltreating our people by ensuring that the law
has taken its course", he said.
